 FAQs

  • Every surface requires a different process. For example, concrete starts with a pretreat. Followed by a wash and rinse. Lastly we finish with a Post treatment.

  • Yes, we use pool essentials liquid chlorine. I’m specifically looking for the Sodium Hypochlorite (SH) percentage. This brand has 10% SH. I mix different ratio SH and water, depending on the surface I’m cleaning.

  • Accidents do happen but I go to great lengths to keep all surrounding vegetation safe. I soak everything with water before applying chemical. If any chemical does hit the plant, it will be so diluted from the soak that it won’t be affected. I soak everything ,multiple throughout the entire job. Any plants that seem more at risk I cover with a plastic sheet just to be extra safe.

  • Sodium hypochlorite or SH Is Bleach. This is the main chemical compound we use in the pressure washing industry. We use this to clean all of the organic matter. Algae, moss, and mold are the most common organics that we clean.

  • In a short answer, no. This is why I use Wood Wizard from southeast soft wash. This has a sodium metasilicate base instead of sodium hypochlorite. Much safer for your wooden surfaces.
